Visitors Information
Lund is located in southwestern Sweden, close to Malmö and Copenhagen. Once in Lund, one finds the area of Faculty of Engineering (LTH) in the northeast part of town, 2-3 km from the city centre, next to Ideon.
Division of Structural Mechanics is housed in LTH's V-Building on 4th floor, which is reached by elevator or stairs "A" (see plan of the V-Building, below).
The parking-places are on the west and north sides of the V-Building. The main entrance is the most appropriate entrance from the parking areas. Bicycle parking is available at the main entrance.
If you arrive to Lund by train:
- Go by city bus 6 from the train station to the University of Technology (LTH), direction Martens Fälad (takes about 10 minutes).
- Go by Lundalänken 20 or 21 from the train station to the University of Technology (LTH), direction Brunnshög (yakes about 10 minutes).
- Taxi: ask for the V-Building, John Ericsson's vag 1.
- By foot: The walk from the train station to the V-Building takes about 20 minutes.
